THIS PROJECT WAS DESIGNED BY AWARD WINNING ARCHITECTS PTW AND INTERIOR DESIGNERS PAUL HECKER OF HP&G. IT ATTRACTED IMMENSELY FAVOURABLE MEDIA RESPONSE.
THE BONDI’S SUBTLE CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE FEATURES TWO STRIKING DESIGN COMPONENTS. ON THE LOWER LEVELS, THE “PODIUM” IS WRAPPED WITH ART-DECO INSPIRED BAY WINDOWS MIRRORING THE FACADES ALONG BONDI’S PROMENADE WHILE THE DRAMATIC CURVES OF THE ‘TOWER’ LEVELS STAND HIGH
ABOVE THE SURROUNDING STREETSCAPE TO DEFINE IT’S MAJESTIC EXTERNAL FORM. ART DECO INSPIRED COLOUR SCHEME. TERRACOTTA BUFF AND OFF-WHITE MEDITERRANEAN COLOURS WERE INTEGRATED IN THE BONDI BEACH STREETSCAPE WITH ASTOUNDING IMPACT AGAINST THE BLUE OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN. THE BULBOUS EXTERIOR SHAPE OF THE BUILDING SOFTENED THE FORM TO CONNECT VISUALLY WITH SOME OF THE OLDER PRE-WAR APARTMENT BUILDINGS ALONG CAMPBELL PARADE
